Since joining the violin making school in Mittenwald in 1985, my professional heart has beaten for instrument making. Seventeen years later, I opened my own violin making workshop in Cologne. In between were my years of study and travel, which took me to eight different workshops in three different countries. During these years, I deepened my focus on the construction of high-quality new instruments and the restoration of important old instruments - both of which I still consider to be the passionate focal points of my profession.
